Is It Too Late to Have Liposuction for Summer?

Summer is here, and your bikini body isn’t ready for its debut. What can you do? Is it too late for liposuction? If your summer body needs help, pick up the phone and call our Northbrook and Chicago, IL plastic surgery practice. You’re running out of time to enhance your body and enjoy results this summer, but there is still time if you hurry.

Help, It’s Almost Summer and My Body Isn’t Ready!

Summer is here. You may have started the year with goals of a washboard stomach and sculpted arms by summer, but even with diligent effort, you may have fallen short. It isn’t that you’re doing anything wrong. Stubborn, diet-resistant fat is difficult to lose on your own, if not impossible. Crunches and cardio are often not enough to lose those love handles or to ditch that muffin top.

What’s the solution to stubborn fat? We often recommend liposuction, a body contouring treatment that permanently removes unwanted fat cells. It can be performed all over the body, head to toe. At MAE Plastic Surgery we commonly use liposuction to treat the following areas:

  • Abdomen (muffin top)
  • Chin (double chin)
  • Buttocks
  • Thighs (saddlebags)
  • Calves
  • Neck
  • Flanks (love handles)
  • Back (bra back rolls)
  • Arms

Don’t give up on your dream summer body. If you haven’t been able to achieve it on your own, maybe liposuction can help. We also offer treatments for cellulite and skin tightening. Call us and learn more about your options.

How Long Until I See Liposuction Results?

Often, liposuction is performed as an outpatient procedure. You’ll come in for surgery, and you’ll return home to recover a few hours later. Many patients notice an immediate change in the treated area, but you won’t be bikini ready quite yet. Liposuction is a surgical procedure. Most patients recover for 1-2 weeks and avoid strenuous activities for at least 3 weeks. You’ll need to wear bandaging and compression garments for a few weeks after treatment.

Right after surgery, you may experience bruising, tenderness, and swelling in the treated areas. This can take time to resolve. You can wear a swimsuit as soon as you’re comfortable, but most patients wait a month or two.

If you’re hoping to enjoy your liposuction results this summer, hurry in to our office. If you get liposuction soon, you may be able to show off your new look for the last few weeks of the season. If you’re short on time, you may also want to consider SkinTite by J Plasma, a minimally invasive option for shaping and contouring the body.

SkinTite by J Plasma- There’s Still Time for a Better Summer Body

Liposuction is a surgical procedure and requires a recovery period before you can enjoy results. With summer right around the corner, there may not be time to enjoy liposuction results this year without missing out on pool parties and summer fun. We have a solution. We offer SkinTite by J Plasma, a minimally invasive body contouring and skin tightening treatment. Results are immediate and continue to improve for 6-12 weeks. This treatment doesn’t require any downtime, and there’s no post-procedure bruising or swelling. You’ll be bikini ready sooner than with traditional liposuction.

SkinTite by J Plasma combines manual fat removal and radio-frequency skin tightening. The treatment is performed under sedation with a local anesthetic. Dr. Epstein and Dr. Krochmal will remove fat using a small cannula and will then treat the area with radio-frequency energy, encouraging skin contraction.

Fat removal and skin tightening with little downtime make SkinTite by J Plasma an ideal solution for last-minute summer body prep.

Get Rid of Cellulite Before Summer

Cellulite is another common summer body complaint. This condition occurs when fibrous bands pull the skin down over fat. The result is a bumpy, puckered skin appearance. Diet and exercise don’t fight cellulite, and creams and topical treatments don’t work.

We offer CRAFT, short for cellulite rigotomy and fat transfer. This is a minimally invasive cellulite treatment. It consists of two parts: rigotomy, or releasing the fibrous bands using a small needle, and fat transfer, or placing fat into the treated area to smooth away cellulite.

Recovery times for CRAFT cellulite treatment are very short. Most patients are back to work in a few days. No activity restrictions are required. Most patients see immediate improvement in the treated areas.

If your summer body isn’t yet ready, it is crunch time. Hurry in and let’s work together to fight fat, tighten skin, and remove cellulite.
